Updated January 27, 2021 5 pm * Carrie Atkins passed away Monday morning. Funeral service is Sunday at 2 pm at Oakey's North Chapel. There's no visitation. Anyone wanting to take some food to the family, you can take it to Ricky at home. In case of bad weather, please call Oakey's North for information regarding the service. * Tim Young is much better and approved to go back to work Thursday. * Becky Lierman is having pulmonary problems. They have put her on some medications to get her breathing back to normal. She does have an appointment with a pulmonary doctor next week. * Patti Gilbert fell and is at LG. * Cindy Perdue is had an ultrasound today on her stomach and appointment with her heart doctor Friday. * Steve Martin had a biopsy on a cyst on his neck and should hear results by the end of this week. * Joe Sutliff is having mitral valve replacement with cardiopulmonary bypass on Feb. 1. They will also address her heart blockage. She will be in the hospital for about 1 week. * Tonya Smoot knot has gone on her neck but having severe headaches. * David Smoot has several tests coming up: Thursday echocardiogram complete/stress test, Friday - covid test- in prepration for his pulmonary work up Feb. 3. * Lenore Burger's family, her brother Jack Dooley has tested positive for covid and she's having to help with some family needs for appointments and care. * Joe Widener has hpertrophic cardiomyopathy. * Josephine Martin's daughter Anne Entsminger had back surgery and is still in the hospital. * Greg Capito is having a consultation with orthopedic surgeon Feb. 25 for very bad right knee and looking at surgery that will put him in a cast/brace for 3 months. Pray they can get him in much sooner to get this done. * Maize Woods has a white spot on her pelvis x-rays have shown and they are scheduling some tests. And her dysplasia is still not good (effects her hips and has to wear a brace) and may wind up having surgery down the road if it doesn't improve over the next 3 months. * Catherine Hannabass had shot in thumb for bone spur. Still has some tingling. Doc said she does have carpet tunnel and may have to have surgery later. * Chuck Evans is now at Spring Tree for physical therapy working to get back on his feet. He also just tested positive for covid-19 so being isolated. * Gerald Swanson is having more health issues with cancer. He had his 1st of 3 treatments Monday. * Diana Woods is recovering from a mini-stroke. * Judy Barris still having eating problems and losing weight. They're trying to get a referral to Duke now. * Mike Stump has prostate cancer and will be undergoing some more tests then at least 2 weeks of chemo. * Tommy Firebaugh is still having a lot of problems with numbness in his hands and a sciatica nerve problem. He's in therapy for both. * Michelle Lantz has started her new cancer treatments. * HEALING FOR OUR NATION
